Poor Rude Lines will continue to offer its regular service.
However, as Blogger in Residence at this year’s Aldeburgh Poetry Festival, I will also post to The Poetry Trust’s website. In the coming months, I’ll post close readings of work by the Festival’s poets to whet your appetite for the stellar line-up for this, the Festival’s silver anniversary. Take a look at the programme here. At the festival, I’ll be interviewing poets and curating a Poem Show for The Poetry Channel.
I’ll be talking about some of the Festival’s pamphlet poets at my Poets Preview. The details are here.
Finally, here’s the link to my first Festival post.
.
I shall take a look-see, many thank for the link. xx
um, thanks plural not singular (I blame this keyboard!! π ) xx
We all must have dodgy keyboards β typos abound from this one
I hope that you like the line-up. I must admit that, on first view, only a couple of the names were familiar, and I am still reading through the list. However, the quality of what I have read so far is stunning: I have read Nurkse, Pavlova, Ryan and Wrigley.
Best,
John

The programme arrived today and I was delighted to see that you’re going to be blogger in residence! Have just enjoyed your first post. Hope to meet you there.
I’m especially excited that Karen Solie will be at Aldeburgh. My first ever (somewhat diffident) blog post was about her, see here, in case that would help with an introduction. http://displacement-poetry.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/review-karen-solie-pigeon.html.
Am also excited about Terrance Hayes and the East European angle.
Thanks, Fiona. I’m pleased to hear that you”ll be coming too – I am very much looking forward to meeting you.
Thank you too for the link to the Karen Solie post – it doesn’t look diffident to me, and reading it has already been useful.
Fiona, I was thrilled to hear that the run of The Only Reason for Time sold out – and so fast too. With poems like those, it was thoroughly deserved.
Best
John
Thank you John. See you in Aldeburgh – I’ll look forward very much to reading your posts about it, and meeting you there.
Congratulations, John! I won’t be there but have a fantastic time there in November
Cheers, Rob. I imagine that you will be somewhere considerably more glamorous (and warm) when the UK has been pitched back into eternal darkness! I trust that all is well with you. Best wishes, John
