How many of my muses can you name?
Thank you to my brother, Peter James Field, for the banner which now graces the blog.
He’s a talented illustrator and, although most of his work is for UK and international newspapers and magazines, he also illustrates book covers. My favourite is his jacket for Vladimir Nabokov’s Pale Fire and his cover for Sandi Toksvig’s Valentine Grey was featured on BBC Breakfast last week. Well, the book was but Sandi was interviewed on the sofa with a huge projection of Peter’s cover over her shoulder.

I THINK I recognise all but one and even he looks curiously familiar… Nice to know I also approve of them all. Not that muses need my approval!
